Press release from: XClinical GmbH

XClinical exhibits at Oncology Congress in Munich / The EDC-CDM

Due to the special suitability of the EDC-CDM system MARVIN for oncological studies, XClinical is going to exhibit at the congress „Cancer Research in Munich“ on 20th July 2006. This congress on current research projects in industry and clinic, which will be taking place in the MRI-Klinikum rechts der Isar, is intended to exemplify oncology-related projects in Munich.

The EDC-CDM system MARVIN from XClinical is particularly suitable for the implementation in oncological trials due to a number of causes: the strict separation of identifying and medical data according to the German Federal Data Protection Act enables long-term follow-ups, which are especially relevant in oncological studies. Additionally it is possible in MARVIN to transfer a study participant and/or patient to another study site, which is granted access to the MARVIN data by permission of the patient, so that long-time observation is possible. The flexible system enables the consistent documentation in electronic CRFs, and images (e. g. CT, MR) and other digital data can be loaded into the MARVIN study database. The investigator can also click on anatomic images in MARVIN in order to respond to localization questions.

A German biotechnology company, which is positioned in clinical oncology diagnostics, is currently preparing for the implementation of MARVIN in a clinical trial in this area.

The EDC-CDM System MARVIN is now available in Version 1.7
At the end of june 2006 the new version MARVIN 1.7 was published. Among the most important new features are the lab data import directly into the eCRF, the improvement of the graphical layout of online reports and form status overview, and increased flexibility of signing rules on the form, visit and patient level.

We cordially invite you to get to know MARVIN 1.7 in the framework of an internet presentation without any obligation. Please send an e-mail to press@xclinical.com if you are interested. We will immediately notify you of the exact date.
