A Memorable Celebration of the Classical Piano Artistry!
This will be a memorable celebration of the classical piano artistry! And is a great opportunity for all classic music lovers?
National and International award-winning students of three of Toronto’s well-known pianists & pedagogues will be featured in concert alongside their teachers in September of 2018.
For great piano artistry to pass down the generations, the art form must be delivered by master pedagogues to their students as a “legacy”. To emphasize on the importance of this “legacy”, and to share great piano music to the public, on September 22, 2018, International Music Education Center (IMEC) Canada will present the Piano Legacy concert as part of 2018 IMEC International Musical Arts Festival.
The featured artists in this one-of-a-kind concert are pianists & pedagogues Dr. Michael Berkovsky, Dr. Michael Esch, and Professor Li Wang, along with their award winning students of national and international piano competitions. Each artist will perform solo pieces, and the three pedagogues will also be presenting 4-hands, and 6-hands joint performances!
This will be a memorable celebration of the classical piano artistry! And is a great opportunity for all piano students and enthusiasts to come and immerse themselves in music by Albeniz, Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Moszkowski, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, & Tchaikovsky!
