SGS announces AWS Certified Welding Inspector Training and Examination Schedule for 2010
SGS Industrial Services
The training program prepares candidates for the AWS Certified Welding Inspector examination. Participants receive comprehensive welding inspection training and practical exercises in welding processes and procedures. This training includes, among other topics, welding inspection technology and Visual Inspection workshops.
The AWS CWI course by SGS is scheduled (with the examination date in brackets) for 2010 as follows:
Dominican Republic – Santo Domingo: 17-22 May (24 May)
Peru – Lima: 15-20 March (21 March), 30 March – 5 June (6 June), 29 August – 4 September (5 September), 15-20 November (20 November)
Colombia – Bogotá: 19-24 April (25 April), 9-14 August (15 August), 29 November – 4 December (5 December)
Spain: 12-17 April (18 April)
The AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification is a widely recognized qualification and is accepted worldwide in the welding industry. Industry professionals who qualify for CWI are highly regarded and sought after throughout the Welding and QA/QC industry because certification meets stringent requirements.
In addition, SGS offers Certified Welding Educator (CWE) training and examination which is geared for welding professionals who aim to work specifically in the welding education field. This AWS certification confirms their ability, talent and knowledge to specifically perform operations associated with welding training and classroom instruction.
