Privacy through solar power
The vertical “Shadeplus” blind is to be operated via a new solar moduleAwnings are not only available as individual items, but also come in a double pack. One of these awnings protects against UV radiation and heat, and the other against glaring light. They achieve this with the assistance of solar power as a practical and simultaneously environmentally-friendly energy source
The “pergola” by markilux has been available for quite some time with and integrated “Shadeplus” blind. It can be extended up to two metres and thirty centimetres, and therefore creates a cosy, private atmosphere which also protects against glaring light.
An elegant cableless solution
In a new development, the “awning within the awning” is now concealed directly in the front profile of the “pergola”. It thus integrates itself discreetly into the slimline design. The product now also offers even greater convenience, because the “Shadeplus” has recently been equipped with an electric motor. This is also concealed, including the power pack, in the front of the awning frame, and, moreover, is wireless. The motor is operated using an energy-saving solar module. It delivers sufficient power to extend and retract the privacy screen many times over without the power pack emptying prematurely. To stop the motor overheating, it is protected by a thermal cut-out. If a customer wishes to do without motor power, it is also possible to use the new magnetic hand crank, which can be used to operate the awning with particular ease.
Robust construction providing plenty of shade
In the awning double pack, the well thought-out, compact design of the solar protection also provides sufficient head clearance at the front. Furthermore, the “pergola” displays extreme competence, because the awning roof can shade patios up to 30 m² in size, and, depending on the model, it can be extended to a full six metres. This is made possible through two filigree front posts. They provide stability for this conservatory awning with lateral guide tracks which transport the cover, and the cassette positioned against the wall of the house. The posts and the continuously tensioned awning cover held in the lateral guide tracks have an extremely delicate appearance. Nevertheless, the awning is sturdy, and can withstand up to wind force six on the Beaufort scale. There are also models available with a lowerable post at the front so that rainwater can be drained off. And for cosy light in the evening, a practical LED line can be installed into the lateral guide tracks.
