BUBEN&ZORWEG: TIME MOVER® Technology
The "must have" for every passionate watch collector comes with a multitude of detailed improvementsWatch winders belong to BUBEN&ZORWEG core competences: the TIME MOVER® has seen continuous further development since 1998. A clear commitment to innovation and perfection has made TIME MOVER® technology to the benchmark for watch winders and has secured BUBEN&ZORWEG worldwide market leadership in this sector. The foundations for continued quality leadership have been laid in the form of a multitude of detailed improvements.
TIME MOVER® XXL
Watch enthusiasts in more than 70 countries entrust their valuable automatic watches to TIME MOVER® modules. We have some good news for every aficionado of extra-large watches: TIME MOVER® technology is now fully equipped for XXL watches to provide a safe and protective storage environment for even the largest watches of a valuable collection.
Very quiet operation - new sound absorption
The outstanding properties of the TIME MOVER® are the result of uncompromising decisions in favour of the best components available on the market. The drive system, for instance, is based on specially developed motors. Countless hours of development were spent bringing the structure-borne sound of these already very quiet motors into alignment with the natural frequency of the conductor plate to prevent the creation of resonance. And as if that were not enough - a new sound absorption system reduces the transfer of noise to a virtually imperceptible level.
Magnetically shielded quality components
Converting to a motor with metal gearing mechanism has improved the battery lifetime up to 18 months. The watch winder's magnetic shielding is of considerable significance to passionate collectors. Electrical motors create magnetic fields that under certain circumstances can have a negative impact on the accuracy of mechanical watches, as the hairsprings can become electromagnetically charged. The design of BUBEN&ZORWEG watch winders completely rules out this uncertainty factor.
Ground-breaking development work has reduced the limit values for motor radiation to a value that is virtually impossible to measure (approx. 80 A/m) as it is only twice then strength of the Earth's magnetic field. As a side note: the limit value specified by the German DIN standard for these designs is 4,800 A/m.
Of course, the features that have long since distinguished TIME MOVER® technology by BUBEN&ZORWEG should not be left unmentioned:
The sleep phase
Winding watches in conventional watch winders over extended periods of time can cause the mainspring to work mainly in the safety clutch range, leaving it no chance to relax. The specially developed sleep phase of TIME MOVER® watch winders allows the mainspring to release tension, therefore avoiding any unnecessary strain on the winding mechanism. The result is less unnecessary strain on the safety clutch and mainspring; additionally, a consistent drive torque increases watch accuracy. Furthermore, the integrated software monitors compliance with the selected rotation frequency. This guarantees a constant speed even under fluctuating voltage input.
Strict quality control as a basis for the five-year warranty
Furthermore, the entire TIME MOVER® technology has been tested with a load of 250 grams per watch holder to simulate 15 years of operation in cyclical operating mode. The power input and noise development of each model pending delivery are kept within the tightest possible tolerances. Striving for perfection makes it easy for us to offer a five-year warranty for every TIME MOVER®.
The technology is currently in use in the Collector 16, for instance:
The COLLECTOR 16 is a perfect introduction to the Collector-elite. Displayed behind tinted crystal glass doors and effectively lit by LEDs, the 16 TIME MOVER® units gently and impressively highlight the masterpieces inside. The black velour interior design concentrates attention on the “Stars” - the watches themselves. Of course, the COLLECTOR 16 possesses star quality of its own, with perfectly finished, highly detailed craftsmanship; the semi-gloss lacquered black optics and high-quality precious wood inlay provide a perfect, secure setting for valuable watches. A high security lock on the side of the cabinet prevents unauthorized access.

THE HOUSE OF BUBEN&ZORWEG
THE FIRST STOP FOR PASSIONATE LOVERS OF FINE TIMEPIECES
From our first day of business (1995) BUBEN&ZORWEG has been devoted to exploring the limits of technology and craftsmanship with exciting new masterpieces. We design and manufacture detailed pieces that reflect our passion for innovative technology, ground-breaking design and perfect artistry for lovers of unique masterpieces.
After the founding of the company in 1995, BUBEN&ZORWEG reached their first milestone with the launch of the TIME MOVER® in cooperation with our partner company ELMA. Within a short time this pioneering technology became the market leader in its field. Developments such as the Collector 64 or the Collector’s salon opened new dimensions for the TIME MOVER®; whether for 1 or 1,000 watches, BUBEN&ZORWEG has the optimal solution. The advent in 2005 of BUBEN&ZORWEG’s FINE TIMEPIECES was the first major step on the road to becoming a manufacturer of mechanical clocks. The goal from the beginning was to use innovation and master craftsmanship to create exclusive pieces that were and are without comparison. Outstanding feature is our focus on clocks with tourbillons: an area in which BUBEN&ZORWEG is constantly breaking new ground.
We surprised the experts with the double tourbillon in 2007 and again with the Orbit tourbillon in 2009. Our Atelier d’Horlogerie offers the best conditions for creating these FINE TIMEPIECES - from the design to the elaborate manufacture. In 2008 BUBEN&ZORWEG focused intensely on security, and presented the first safes which not only fulfil every safety-related wish, but, with their unique design, also represent an attractive addition to every elegant interior. Since 2006 BUBEN&ZORWEG has offered a combination of the previous areas of operation in the form of the OBJECTS OF TIME®, opening up a new dimension for lovers of valuable watches and/or unique pieces created to complement sophisticated interiors. From precious single pieces to modular, individually equipped walls or rooms, BUBEN&ZORWEG is a competent, innovative partner for the creation of exclusive ambience.

No time for sport? The right time management is important
"I just don’t have time to exercise." Many people have a tight schedule every day: work, shopping, household, meet with friends, spending time with the family and eventually have some rest for themselves. Apparently there is no time to follow a sportive activity. The right balance between everyday life and sport depends on the inner attitude and a consequent time management. In contrast to television, computer or telephone, sport isn’t…
Faster time-to-market requires on-time product information.
Time is money, which is why large, multi-national organizations race to bring their new products to global markets. But many companies fail to keep accompanying product information on pace with the product launch, often it’s because corporate-level information must be localized to different countries, in different languages, and for different cultures. Being on time with product information and making it available in all channels—all while simultaneously maintaining content quality--can be…
