NameDrive starts off 2011 with revised structure and a new

As of January 2011, the international domain services company, NameDrive, has centralized its home office in Luxembourg. The three NameDrive branches in Luxembourg, USA and Romania now are subordinated under the newly founded NameDrive S.A.

BIP Investment Partners S.A., as the lead financial investor, acquired the company together with leading Internet entrepreneurs. This investment opens up new potential for further growth and product innovation. Included in the process is the relocation of the management team from Cologne to Luxembourg and a relocation of all US based NameDrive offices to Texas.

Luxembourg, 11-01-24. After its restructuring, NameDrive LLC and its subsidiaries will merge into NameDrive S.A., which is composed of three subordinated companies: NameDrive EU Sàrl and NameDrive IP Sàrl (Luxembourg), NameDrive US LLC (Texas, USA) and NameDrive SRL (Romania).

While the Luxembourgian and the US location are primarily responsible for operational business, the NameDrive Romania office continues with core technical development. The restructuring of NameDrive is a great chance to further expand its presence on the global domain market. BIP’s investment secures the financial means to achieve an even broader market presence and to continue future launches of innovative products.

Michael Riedl, Investment Director at BIP Investment Partners S.A. (BIP) adds: “We want NameDrive to be the Apple of the domain parking industry.” BIP is a public investor listed on the Luxemburg stock exchange, which has also invested in other companies in the domain industry; among them is the German registrar Key-Systems, Luxembourgish registrar EuroDNS and domain fund Domain Invest, as well as Polish registrar AZ.pl.

With the New Year and organization, NameDrive will kick off a series of new features and products. “Furthermore, we plan to widely intensify our cooperation with registrars and other related companies to provide seamlessly integrated products for domainers, ISPs, and hosters”, says Michael Riedl about NameDrive’s future business focus. The next opportunity to meet with the new NameDrive executives will be at DomainFest in Santa Monica (February 1 – 3).
