JMA Pilani - Inter School Poster Making Competition with Theme Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Save Earth

If the mission vision of Clean India and Green India have to succeed, it is essential that children of India today take it up with passion.

On 2nd October 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout length and breadth of the country as a national movement. The campaign aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’ by 2nd October 2019. The unprecedented global destruction and rapid reduction of plant and wildlife populations are directly linked to causes driven by human activity: climate change, deforestation, habitat loss, trafficking and poaching, unsustainable agriculture, pollution and pesticides to name a few. The impacts are far reaching.

With a view to promote awareness about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Save Earth, Smt Jamuna Mishra Academy JMA Pilani organized an Inter School Poster Making Competition on 24 Feb 2019. Lead schools which participated included 1901 established Birla School, Goenka Vidya Mandir, Pilani Public School, Bal Niketan, CEERI Vidya Mandir and Padia Vidya Mandir.

The theme for age group 8-11 was Swachh Bharat Mission and 34 participants from different school took part in same. The theme for age group 12 - 15 was Save Earth and 29 participants from different school took part in same.

The judges for the competition were Sri Satyanarayan Verma well known artist of Pilani, Ms Anamika Dasgupta one of the most popular multi talented personality of Pilani and Ms Kajal Belgamwar artist much known for innovative art work at Pilani.

In the age group 8 – 11 with theme Swachh Bharat, the first prize was bagged by Bhagyashree (Class VI) of JMA Pilani, second prize by Parul Jangir (Class VI) of Goenka Vidya Mandir and third prize by Muskan (Class VI) of Birla School Pilani. In the age group 12 – 15 with theme Save Earth, the first prize was bagged by Deepak Panwar (Class XI) of JMA Pilani, second prize by Divyanshu (Class VII) of Birla School and third prize by Kamal (Class VII) of CEERI Vidya Mandir.

Announcing the prize winners, Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan urged all the participants to become champions for Swachh Bharat and Save Earth Missions. The judges were honored with a shawl.

All the students who participated in the competition at JMA left with beaming faces and pride that they had indeed visited an institution which is a glittering jewel in the crown among various schools at Pilani Rajasthan.
