10-Year KAYAK Veteran Takes VP of Partnerships Role in Another Big Win for Lola.com

Business Development Rock Star Tim Knowling Brings 17 Years of Experience Driving New Business and Negotiating National and Global Partnerships

BOSTON – April 4, 2019 – Lola.com, the Agile Travel Management™ company that provides a super simple way to manage, book, and report on business travel, has filled its VP of Partnerships role with Tim Knowling, a 10-year veteran of the travel booking site KAYAK, which Priceline bought for $1.8 billion in 2012, in another big win for the company. During his time at KAYAK, Knowling directed business development and supplier relations as the company grew rapidly, adding suppliers worldwide and launching the travel industry's leading app.

“Lola.com just gained one more piston in its engine with landing rock star, Tim Knowling to the business development team,” said Krista Pappas, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Lola.com. “I have known Tim for the past 10 years, and I can attest to his role in contributing to the success at KAYAK. We are eager to leverage Tim's experience during this exciting and transformative time at Lola. He will be a great contributor to helping us execute on key growth strategies.”

Knowling has over 17 years of experience driving new business and partnerships on global and regional levels for dot-com startups, multi-national corporations, and consulting firms. He brings a strong history of upward mobility and fast-track promotions within the online space during periods of rapid growth. He began his career at American Airlines where he spent six years as an analyst. He then joined consulting firm A.T. Kearney focusing on the transportation and energy industries. Knowling has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Miami University and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

“The market potential for Lola.com to meet the needs of simplifying business travel worldwide is tremendous,” said Knowling. “I expect to focus on cultivating multi-year relationships and negotiating large-scale partner agreements, taking Lola.com to the next level in penetrating the market.”
