The SCB-8960 – AEWIN’s 2U Rack-mounted Intel Xeon i7/i5/i3 Network Security Appliance

The SCB-8960 is a 2U rack-mounted platform designed with Intel i7/i5/i3 multi-core processors for high performance. This networking platform features redundant power supplies that provide high reliability for networking and network security applications. The SCB-8960 is built with Intel Embedded IA components for long product life and also provides support for Intel quad-core processors with Intel Hyper-Threading Technology. Also, an optional onboard Cavium Nitrox PX cn16xx security co-processor is included which supports multi-security protocol commands.
The SCB-8960 also features a high density I/O and other features that make it ideal for today’s IT and server farms networking needs. Its platform also features four unbuffered ECC or non-ECC DDR3 1066/1333MHz DIMM sockets with memory up to 16GB. Also, the SCB-8960 provides the best network performance and utilization due to its powerful storage interfaces including one 3.5” SATA HDD as well as CompactFlash.
The SCB-8960 affords 8 GbE and up to 32 GbE Ethernet ports via PCI-E x8 which is accessible on the network platform’s front-panel. Also, up to 26GbE of fiber LAN can be supported. In order to prevent network problems if ever the network is shut down, the device supports two segments of LAN bypass function through WDT and GPIO, thus adding an extra layer of reliability to the system’s operation. The front panel also includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, one RJ-45 console port and LED indicators which monitors power and storage device activities for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. Also, the SCB-8960 supports one PCI-E x8 slot, one PCI-E x8 Golden Finger connector, one PCI slot, and is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
