Nuremberg, May 16, 2019 – Kerstin Jung has taken on overall responsibility for HR subjects at the Bühler Motor Group as Vice President Human Resources as from March 1. She follows Matthias Otto, who has decisively shaped the department over the last 12 years and significantly pushed ahead internationalization. Matthias Otto entered well-earned retirement on December 31 last year.

On May 1, Michael Eckert assumed responsibility for the Bühler Motor Group’s production and locations worldwide as Vice President Operations. Michael Eckert has been preparing for this leading task since January 1 this year, with the support of his predecessor Karlheinz Müller. With the handover, Karlheinz Müller will retire end of May, after 12 successful years with Bühler Motor.

“We would like to thank both Matthias Otto and Karlheinz Müller for their extraordinary dedication. In their positions, they played a major part in making our company fit to meet the growing demands of the market”, said Peter Muhr, Co-CEO of the Bühler Motor Group.

"In Kerstin Jung and Michael Eckert, we have found exactly the right ‘Agents of Change’ to continue to take our company successfully into the future. These two leaders match up with the Bühler Motor mentality that we need even more to face the challenges of the future: the ability to lead staff with enthusiasm coupled with a sense of company responsibility, a joy of change and, not least, consistent customer focus”, underlined Mark Furtwängler, Co-CEO and co-owner of the Bühler Motor Group.

Kerstin Jung comes from the DRÄXLMAIER Group, where she was most recently active as Head of HR Division Production, Logistics, Purchasing. Before this, she worked with Sanacorp Pharmahandel GmbH with responsibility for HR development, and she was with the Allianz Group for more than 12 years at various locations and in a number of positions, especially in HR and organizational development. Prior to HR, she worked for a total of over 6 years in sales and in product management.

Before joining Bühler Motor, Michael Eckert was working as Managing Director of GEDORE Holding GmbH, a global premium tools manufacturer in Remscheid. For more than 10 years he was preceded by international positions as Production and Operations Manager for MAHLE-Behr and Technical Director at Voss Automotive Mexico in Spain and Mexico.
