DocuSource Partners with The Miracle League
RTP, N.C. (May 26, 2011) — DocuSource of NC, an integrated marketing solutions provider, is partnering with the Miracle League to support the Wilmington Believes in Miracles campaign. DocuSource is donating collateral materials to help raise awareness of the initiative.The goal of the campaign is to raise $750,000 to fund construction of a specialized baseball field and playground for children and young adults with disabilities. Nearly one in five individuals in New Hanover, Brunswick, Columbus and Pender counties are living with a disability.
“Because of the lack of facilities, many young people with disabilities don’t have the opportunity to participate in organized sports,” says Kathy Murchison, DocuSource of NC president and CEO. “We are proud to lend our support to our neighbors in the Wilmington area.”
The new field and playground will be built at Olsen Park in Wilmington, N.C. Miracle Fields are made of specialized rubber turfs that are helpful and safe for persons with mobility difficulties. The bases are inlaid to allow wheelchairs and other mobility devices freedom to navigate without obstruction.
DocuSource consistently donates its time, services and funds to help improve the quality of life for North Carolina residents. In addition to its support of The Miracle League, the company has supported more than 20 organizations, including Girls on the Run, Be Active North Carolina, Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, Meals on Wheels, SPCA, Summit House, Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, the Women’s Center of Wake County and the Raleigh and Durham Rescue Missions.
