SPLASH Sanitary Systems premiere in Scandinavia

eps proud to be a part of Sweden Rock Festival’s 20th Anniversary

From June 8th to June 11th, some 54,000 visitors came to Sölvesborg, Sweden to see performances from metal music icons like Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest. The weekend was extra celebratory, as 2011 commemorates the 20th consecutive year for the Sweden Rock Festival.

While eps did not celebrate an anniversary over the weekend, it did mark a product premier for the event supplier: SPLASH Sanitary Systems entered the Scandinavian market. In the past, promoters of the festival had used eps products like stage barriers, security gates, ground protection systems, and more. This year, they put SPLASH products at the top of their list. eps provided a total of 12 toilet containers, six shower containers, five VIP standard toilet wagons and two washing stations. Other eps-supplied equipment included office and dressing room containers and a specially equipped laundry container.

No fewer than 62 truckloads of eps equipment were delivered and set up, making eps the single largest equipment supplier for this year’s Sweden Rock Festival. In addition to the sanitary systems and room containers, eps delivered 2.800 meters of mobile fences, 200 meters of stage barriers, 20 line-up security gates, 2,500 square meters of Hexagon flooring, 1.000 square meters of Remopla flooring, 150 beverage modules and 20 flagpoles.

To oversee set up and tear down, the eps team stayed on site for a total of two weeks. eps also provided sanitary professionals to maintain the SPLASH systems during festival days.

Now one of the largest festivals in the country, Sweden Rock started in 1992 as a one-day festival and has since developed into a four-day event with three stages and hundreds of performers from all over the world. Promoters were very pleased with the equipment and services from eps, and eps was delighted to play such a big role in the production.
