IIM Lucknow inducts 27th Batch of Post Graduate Programme (2011-2013)
The 2011-2013 batch of flagship Post graduate programme in Management (PGP) of IIM Lucknow is the largest batch inducted till date with 419 students.
Though majority of students still have an engineering background (82.10%), their percentage has come down by 2.5% compared to the previous year. There are 36 students from the commerce stream, 8 science students, 4 architecture students, 11 students with degree in medicine or related fields and 7 students from other streams. This year sees an increase in the number of students from the commerce stream and also sees a new trend of increase of students coming from medical and related streams.
Not much has changed over the last year with regards to gender specific break up of students – 86% students are male and 14% females.
The percentage of students who have less than 12 months of work experience is 42% and students who have more than 36 months of work experience is 20%
From a modest beginning in 1984, Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML) has now grown into a fully integrated global management school. The guiding philosophy of the school, throughout, has been creation of knowledge, influencing management practices and integrate globally.
