TSC EMEA partners visit Taiwan - Quality awareness and innovative power

Value added resellers, distributors and retailers of TSC Auto ID Technology EMEA GmbH had been invited to a big meeting at group headquarters in Taiwan at the end of May. The guests from Europe, the Middle East and also Russia were able to view and enjoy the smooth routines and the high quality standards in the manufacture of TSC thermal label printers at the Taiwanese plant. The company additionally introduced its partners to the latest products and upgrades at the COMPUTEX, Asia's largest computer exhibition, in the Nangang Exhibition Centre; products included the mid-range printer ME240 whose official launch is set for the third quarter of 2011.
Michael Sloup, managing director of the European division in the Bavarian town of Zorneding, and Sam Wang, Vice-President of TSC Auto ID Technology Co., Ltd., in Taiwan, could hardly have chosen a better time for the meeting. The meeting also gave the new sales manager for Eastern Europe, Victoria Grobushkina, the opportunity to get to know the distribution partners personally during the trip. The trip was planned not only to visit the important IT exhibition in Taipei and to gain an insight into the strategic direction of the company in the near future, but also to celebrate 20 years of TSC. The company was founded in 1991 with the development of its first thermal label printer and is now among the top-ten manufacturers in the industry and one of the fastest-growing suppliers on the global Auto ID market.

The constructive exchanges of ideas with the colleagues from engineering and sales as well as the visit to the Li Ze plant in Yilan at the start of the trip were just some of the highlights for the EMEA partners. Sales manager Bryan Lee gave an informative tour through the individual production phases and Quality Control, where every single long-life and durable product is tested twice in complex and exhaustive processes before being released for packaging. This is the basis for the confidence the company has in its products which allows it to give a two-year warranty on all models - an advantage appreciated by distributors and end customers alike.

Quality assurance and communication as factors for success

TSC offers assistance to its highly qualified distributors through targeted support and technical training seminars. The distribution partners attended a workshop in Yilan where they were able to familiarise themselves with the new models ME240, TTP-268M, TTP-2410M Pro and TTP-225. They were also given exhaustive answers to all the questions they had to allow them to give their customers the advice they need. "It is especially important for us," Klaus Lamberts said, "that TSC is highly familiar with our business and always has the right solution for every problem." Like all other partners of TSC, Lamberts was able to take back a number of substantial impulses for his work at home from his trip to TSC's world of Auto ID.
