Grand Mercure Hongqiao Appoints New Director of Food & Beverage Simon Huang

Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Simon Huang as Director of Food & Beverage.

Simon has extensive hotel experience both in China and overseas. His passion for the hospitality industry started when he was a student in the Netherlands, where he worked for two years. He went on to explore the world by working in St. Louis, Missouri in the United States after leaving Europe. Prior to joining Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai, he was in the position of Director of Food &Beverage at Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Puxi.

As the new Director of Food & Beverage at Grand Mercure Hongqiao, Simon will be overlooking two dining outlets, in addition to the hotel's busy banquet operations. He remarked “It is a great challenge for me to be part of Grand Mercure Hongqiao. I personally believe the products and services offered in our hotel are in high standards, hence I welcome the opportunity to play a very important role of moving further forward in terms of operations and attracting more business for our dining venues.”

Simon will undoubtedly contribute to Grand Mercure Hongqiao his international vision from a young Chinese hotelier’s point of view. He loves good food, fine wine, and looking to share such passion with everyone around him.
