IT Outsourcing Provider Port-to-Port Consulting Shuffles Leadership
[Indianapolis, IN September 6, 2011] — Indianapolis-based IT computer outsourcing provider Port-to-Port Consulting has a new leader after more than 20 years. Effective today, Rob Glass, former Vice President and CTO, will become the president of the company. Former president Damon Richards will be the new Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Both men have led the company for most of its time in business.Rob Glass, president, said, "The change in titles was made to better reflect the responsibilities that we have in the organization. While Damon has always managed sales and marketing, it sometimes got lost in the other responsibilities that involve the president. We finally decided to separate responsibilities that allow Port-to-Port to serve its growing list of Indianapolis area organizations who outsource their IT support to us.” Richards agreed, “Rob and I have always run the company jointly. We will continue that, however, each of us will be able to focus more accurately on specific tasks. This is the first time in 20 years that we’ve had someone with primary responsibility for sales and marketing.”
Port-to-Port opened its doors on the northwest side of Indianapolis on July 1, 1991. The two founders, Damon Richards and Bob Beaty, hoped to provide quality IT direction at reasonable rates to small businesses and nonprofits in central Indiana. Twenty years later, the company continues that mission from its downtown location.
