Ibstock Brick Goes Green with Launch of New Sustainability Guide

As the UK’s largest brickmaker, with a product range in excess of 400 bricks, Ibstock (ibstock.com) has long been at the forefront of environmental solutions and as such, has launched its ‘Sustainable Product Guide’, a new brochure specifically designed to showcase the very latest in sustainable brick solutions, acting as a guide for builders looking for inspirational and environmentally friendly solutions when building with brick.

As well as outlining Ibstock’s pioneering sustainable product offering, including the Elementix® eco-freedom, Ecoterre Earth brick and CoolVault®, the new literature summarises Ibstock’s excellent green credentials including the news that all 20 of the company’s brick factories have achieved a very good rating in the BES 6001 for responsible sourcing which this means that builders using Ibstock bricks can claim extra ecopoints under the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Ibstock was also the first brickmaker to achieve the environmental management standard ISO 14001 across all of its sites, demonstrating why it possibly the ‘greenest’ brick manufacturer in the UK.
