How EFT Turned One Person’s Life Around.

Today Annabel Fisher is a vibrant and energetic woman. She is the founder and the organizer of the Canadian EFT Gathering which will be celebrating its second anniversary October 29 and 30 in Vancouver. Just speaking with her you feel the passion that is her life. Her outlook is as sunny as her smile, her attitude of gratitude knows no bounds.

But it wasn’t always so.

In 2003, Annabel Fisher was diagnosed with M.E./C.F.S. (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). She had ignored all the signals her body was sending, all its cries for help, as she continued her work as a teacher. Within 4 months of diagnosis, Annabel was bed bound. She used a wheelchair on the rare occasion that she needed to leave the house. She felt utterly exhausted all the time, suffered constant muscle and joint pain, noise and light sensitivities, intense headaches, digestive disorders and food sensitivities, insomnia and depression.

In early 2004, Annabel’s life was forever changed: she was introduced to Emotional Freedom Techniques, simply known as EFT worldwide. It was the ray of hope she was so desperately searching for.

Based on impressive discoveries involving the body’s subtle energies, EFT has been clinically effective in thousands of cases for stress and anxiety, fears and phobias, depression, addictive cravings and hundreds of physical symptoms including headaches, body pains and breathing difficulties. The roots of EFT can be found in traditional Chinese medicine. EFT suggests the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.

Annabel had weekly private sessions with her EFT practitioner and began practicing it daily on herself. Within a year, the majority of her symptoms had gone and she was in full control of the illness. She was so impressed with her results that she decided to become an EFT practitioner herself.

You might say that Annabel has come full circle. While she runs a successful private EFT practice it is the teaching that gives her the most satisfaction. Her goal is to empower more people with the knowledge of and the ability to practice EFT.

All things come about because of a thought. The thought that Annabel hatched some two years ago was to bring together, in one place, at one time, renowned EFT practitioners and open the doors to anyone who wanted to learn more. That thought manifested into the Canadian EFT Gathering.

This year the event is scheduled for October 29 and 30 in Vancouver at the Signature Sandman Inn and Resorts. Annabel has put together an impressive roster of speakers. It is an event for all EFT Enthusiasts - Practitioners and non-Practitioners - who want to advance tapping skills, gain clarity around how to use EFT on a diverse range of issues, network, and feel supported in a growing EFT community. Attendees will learn from experienced and professional EFT Practitioners and Trainers at this weekend event through presentations and demonstrations.
