CanIt-Domain-PRO plugs the holes and helps ICT ConcepT keep the spam out

ICT ConcepT is a hosting solutions provider based in the Netherlands. For the past 15 years they have specialized in web hosting and network management for more than 700 small- to medium-sized businesses. ICT ConcepT is focused in the legal, financial and travel fields including lawyers, bailiffs, notary offices, travel agencies and tour operators in the Netherlands. This focus allows the experts at ICT ConcepT to create solutions specific to their clientele and the industries they represent.

ICT ConcepT's Technical Director, Richard Huveneers explains the impetus to change from their previous anti-spam solution. “We used another product, and it was a solution provided directly from them to our clients. Over time, delays in email delivery become more frequent and longer lasting... it was time to try something new.” Recognizing that, as well as being ineffective, the current solution was also more hands-off than they preferred, Huveneers and his team began researching alternatives. Explains Huveneers, “Since we are Linux-based, Roaring Penguin's CanIt-Domain-PRO was a natural fit.”

Hands On + More User Control = Better Results

At first some customers were unsure about a new product, but the team at ICT ConcepT found that it was easy to run CanIt-Domain-PRO with their own products, making their customers more comfortable in the process. Huveneers continues, “Although it costs us more time upfront to migrate people to Roaring Penguin's product, it saves us many resources and hours in the long term.”

With CanIt-Domain-PRO, ICT ConcepT has been able to download much of the responsibilities associated with spam blockage to their customers. Each business is able to receive what it wants and block what it doesn't. Huveneers explains, “What you or I might consider spam, a Travel Agency or law firm may consider legitimate email.” ICT ConcepT is now able to have some global anti-spam policies, while letting their individual clients be the administrator of their own “realms". As with CanIt-PRO, the end user still gets control over their specific spam settings as well.

Excellent Support

ICT ConcepT runs CanIt-Domain-PRO on HPDL360 boxes running Linux. Currently 70% of email that is received is spam. As the implementation of CanIt-Domain-PRO continues, the people at ICT ConcepT are very impressed. “With our previous provider, as the emails slowed down so did the service” says Huveneers, “but with Roaring Penguin the support has been superior by far.” Add to these glowing words the fact that ICT is now able to work with CanIt-Domain-PRO as an “in-house” solution and it seems that they'll be successfully diverting the sea of spam from their clients' servers for a long time to come.
