PREMIER Biosoft Releases Beacon Designer™ 8.0 with Support for Exon Junction Primer Design.
Palo Alto, California – March 22, 2012, PREMIER Biosoft today announced the release of the latest version of its comprehensive real time oligo design tool, Beacon Designer™ 8.0 with the ability to design primers across exon-exon and exon-intron junctions for selectively amplifying cDNA from a mixture of genomic DNA. The exons and introns are identified by interpreting GenBank header annotations when sequences are fetched from NCBI. One of the primers of the pair is designed to span a user-specified junction.“We received numerous requests for adding this functionality to Beacon Designer. We listened to our customers and delivered exactly what they needed.
