Captain Chris Howard is a serving Captain in the British Army, having completed 28 years sevice. During his time he has served on operations and duty all over the World and understands the sacrifice that service men and women make. Because of this, he has organised and participated in many military charity fundraising events - see below:
2004 - Organised a charity boxing event raising £12,000 for the Army Benevolent Fund
2008 - Ran a half marathon around a helicopter landing site in Musa Qala, Afghanistan raising over £5,000 for Help for Heroes
2009 - Ran a full marathon wearing Ospray body armour around Winchester training camp raising just under £6,000 for Help for Heroes
2010 - Chris took a team of wounded (Battle Back servicemen/women) to run the Tusk Trust safari marathon in Kenya. Tusk Trust is Prince William’s principal charity, whom they met prior to their departure. (This was supported by Help for Heroes).
Now it is the big one - 2012 - 5 MARATHONS IN 5 DAYS Captain Chris Howard intends to run a marathon each day for five days around a 1 mile loop of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to raise money for Help for Heroes.
