App is easy to operate
The intuitive navigation allows users to configure any of the manufacturer’s models individually, enquire about prices, find specialist companies to get competent advice and arrange installation as well as save their choices to their own account. Furthermore, awnings and cover patterns can be marked as favourites.

Simulation on the wall of an actual house
The app’s Outdoor mode shows the simulation as a live scene on a pre-specified wall of a house. Alternatively, the app also offers an invisible digital wall. In both cases, the position of the solar protection can be freely selected, as can the width, the cover pattern and the frame colour. Options such as a remote control, lighting, infrared heaters and an additional blind offering protection against low-lying sun can also be quickly added to a user’s selection. The finished product can then be viewed from all sides and the cover extended or retracted. It’s even possible to look underneath the awning. The configuration can be saved as a photo and stored in the customer account by entering a reference number. The awning can be retrieved on the manufacturer’s website using this reference.

Viewing on a virtual model of a house
The app’s Indoor mode was developed for users who cannot or do not wish to view their selected configuration either on a real or a virtual wall. And here too, there is a link to the desktop configurator. The awning appears on a 3D model of a house that is projected onto a selected flat surface, such as a table. In this mode, you can view the setting all round, zoom in on the product or even rotate the house. A configuration that has already been saved can also be inserted. In this way, it is possible to playfully experiment with the new tool available in the Apple App Store until the right awning model and configuration have been finalised.
