PITSS introduces Oracle Forms to ADF Essentials

11-29-2012 07:47 PM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: PITSS GmbH

Stuttgart, 20.11.2012 - Oracle modernization expert PITSS provides fastest and most reliable migration solution for Oracle Forms to the license-free Oracle ADF Essentials. Its new migration capability is based on analysis and re-engineering products from the PITSS.CON suite. PITSS.CON is used for redesigning Oracle Forms and Reports applications since 2001, being now the leading platform for re-engineering Oracle Developer and Designer applications.

Migrating Oracle Forms to ADF was first introduced by PITSS in 2009 as part of the PITSS.CON development platform. This functionality offers now full support for the Oracle ADF Essentials components and GlassFish. The PITSS.CON ADF Assistant is re-engineering Oracle Forms applications to 100% ADF Essentials and ADF compliant applications. Customers can choose to further enhance the application with either pure Java EE for license-free deployment, or with ADF features such as ADF Mobile or ADF Security. Oracle ADF Essentials is one of the major choices for Oracle Forms customers in both new development and migration projects.

PITSS President Andreas Gaede about the new migration option with PITSS.CON to ADF Essentials: " We have created PITSS.CON with the Oracle developers and the application architects in mind. PITSS.CON supports each Oracle Forms application from a simple module to the biggest system like the Oracle E-Business Suite with thousands of modules. Our powerful Oracle Forms to ADF migration solution has been tested successfully and is approved now. We are looking forward to using this new license-free technology in a ideal way. Therein we see a big market potential because of the powerful components ADF Essentials and GlassFish."

Oracle ADF Essentials has been released by Oracle in September 2012 and has been very well-received by the Oracle developers’ community. The new ADF version offers the license-free solution to designing ADF Java applications and can be deployed on license-free servers such the open-source GlassFish. These are just two good reasons making ADF Essentials an excellent choice for the companies wanting to maintain their Oracle investment, but, at the same time, avoid additional license costs. ADF Essentials is also a great alternative to the Java open-source development, because it contains most of the features included in the full ADF product, offering the power and speed of design given by a mature Oracle framework, but without imposing any additional licensing costs.
