Press release from: MBB Industries AG

Berlin, 12 February 2013. MBB Fertigungstechnik GmbH in Beelen has a new management team. Two of its three managing directors, Rolf Beckhoff and Ludger Martinschledde, have already held senior positions at the company for several years and played a key role in shaping its development. To date, Rolf Beckhoff has been responsible for the Joining technology division and Ludger Martinschledde for the Assembly line engineering division. In addition to these duties, they are now also in charge of the company's operating areas and its technological development.

The third member of the team is Dr. Christof Nesemeier. When MBB Fertigungstechnik GmbH joined the MBB Group in March 2012, its management was initially in the hands of the main shareholders and members of the Managing Board of MBB Industries, Gert-Maria Freimuth and Dr. Christof Nesemeier. As the management chairman, the latter of these will also be responsible for the commercial area and corporate development. As planned, Gert-Maria Freimuth will be leaving the management of MBB Fertigungstechnik. 'We are delighted to conclude the transitional phase of the shareholder changeover with our new team, to begin a new future with the momentum of the successful 2012 financial year,' said Dr. Christof Nesemeier. 'Our goal is to continue the technological, regional and strategic development of our positioning as a leading manufacturer of specialist machinery and tools in Germany, and to pursue further significant growth.'

One particular challenge will be increasing the workforce in the key areas of construction, programming and operations. The company is still relying on training programmes to secure highly qualified employees.

The outlook for the 2013 financial year is positive, as sectors such as the German automotive industry are ensuring full order books. 'Our strength lies not least in our excellent concept expertise and dependability, which give us an edge over the competition in project business with the automotive industry,' highlighted Rolf Beckhoff.

For example, a technologically highly sophisticated assembly line for steering sensors for Volkswagen will soon be delivered. 'This is a fine example of how we are demonstrating our leading technological role for complex performance requirements,' stated Ludger Martinschledde. Furthermore, MBB Fertigungstechnik is increasingly looking to international markets such as China. Machinery delivered there already accounts for a considerable portion of business today.

MBB Fertigungstechnik GmbH has been a part of the MBB Group since March 2012 and is a leading international mechanical engineering firm specialising in welding and assembly lines for the automotive industry. Furthermore, its range includes toolmaking services, innovative transport systems for exact positioning and inline laser measurement technology. Other industries in which the company operates are aviation, the solar and wind power industry and the domestic appliances industry.
MBB Fertigungstechnik GmbH employs around 300 people in total and generated sales of around EUR100 million in the past financial year.
