BoldAmp Media Receives Service-Disabled Certification

BoldAmp Media, the premier digital media firm in downtown Norfolk, received the coveted SDVOSB certification from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

BoldAmp Media today earned certification as the only Serviced-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and digital media firm in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. The certification, awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and recognized by the Small Business Administration (SBA), signifies that BoldAmp Media is able to compete for federal contracts and acquisition set asides established by the Veterans Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Act of 1999. The Act established an annual government-wide goal of not less than 3% of the total value of all prime contract and subcontract awards for participation by small business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans.

A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concern is a business not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more Service-Disabled Veterans, or in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more Service-Disabled Veterans; the management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more Service-Disabled Veterans, or in the case of a Veteran with a permanent and severe disability, a spouse or permanent caregiver of such Veteran. To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive business review with the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE).
