BITSian Day Celebrations Galore - BITSAA Jaipur Glows with BGM 2023 Mystery Gifts and Har Ghar Tiranga Clarion Call

For the alumni of the institution of eminence Birla Institute of Technology - BITS Pilani spread across various continents, the first Friday of August every year along with the accompanying weekend is BITSian Day celebrations. Each one of them is undoubtedly a dreamer performer and achiever. With Passion Quotient for alma mater peaking, for each one of them, Pilani is just not a destination at which one arrives but rather the spirit with which one undertakes and continues the journey.

Any BITSian day gathering anywhere would indeed be a stellar constellation of Chairmen, Managing Directors, COOs, CEOs, CIOs, Scientists, Presidents and Vice Presidents, Techies, Entrepreneurs, Media Moghuls, Realtors, Professors, Vice Chancellors as well as Consultants. Irrespective of whatever degree they did at Pilani, wherever they came from and whatever their life journey had taken them to, there was one thing common they all shared and that is passion for the alma mater. Each one of them agreed that their stay at Pilani had left an indelible mark on their lives.

For 2022, the BITSian Day Celebrations started on 05 August spreading over till 15 August. The BITSAA Jaipur Chapter had the celebrations on 07 August 2022 at 6 AM with an impressive turnout of BITSians spanning seven decades at the lush green Central Park Jaipur. After some warmup exercises, yoga and brisk walk, the passion peaking Proud to be BITSIans moved over to the adjacent Maharaja Café for mouth water harvesting breakfast at the elegant BM Birla Auditorium which is going to be the venue for BITSAA Global Meet BGM23 during Jan 6-8 2023.

Then the gathering assembled in front of the elegant Birla Auditorium which is a blend of contemporary style of architecture with a fusion of Rajasthani elements into it for a photo session. Well known Proud to be BITSian Dr BR Natarajan aka Dean Nattu presently Professor at Banasthali Vidyapith which is one among the top globally ranked women's university enthralled the gathering in his own inimitable style by reciting all-time great lyrics penned by Sunit Rikhi 74-79 BITSian. The added lines on GhantaGhar-BITS Tower, Lab-Pappu, Milkshake-BlueMoon brought laughter all over. It goes without saying that the line Hur oonchi deevar ke peechae Meera bhavan dhoondhta hoon got the loudest applause.

Considering that 15 Aug 2022 marks Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it's people, culture and achievements, Mr Alok Jain President and Team BITSAA Jaipur gave a Tiranga to each BITSian who participated in the BITSian Day Celebrations at Jaipur. BITSAA Global Meet BGM 23 Jan 6-8 2023 is indeed going to be a truly mesmerizingly unforgettable Royal Rajasthan Event.

About BITSAA Jaipur: The aim of the BITS Pilani Alumni Association, BITSAA Jaipur Chapter is to stay connected with all the BITSian Alumni from Jaipur & nearby cities which include Ajmer, Kota, Bhilwara Udaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner. The idea of establishing Birla Institute of Technology and Science Alumni Association BITSAA Jaipur Chapter was conceived in 1995 and was constituted on 04 May 1996.
