Regal Beloit’s Grove Gear Chooses i-MARK and Partner, CDS to Offer the Most Advanced and Intuitive Customer-Self-Service

FARMINGTON, CT and San Jose, CA — 13 November 2013 —Grove Gear, a Wisconsin-based division of Regal Beloit America, Inc., contracted with i-MARK, Inc. and its partner, CDS (Catalog Data Solutions) to offer more advanced and intuitive user self-service on the Grove Gear eBusiness-friendly website. Planned for release in late 2013, Grove Gear’s intuitive new Digital Channel will best satisfy design engineer and product specifier demand for easy, quick and accurate product selection, as well as giving them fingertip access to 2D and 3D CAD files for viewing or downloading into their native CAD system designs.

Grove Gear spent nearly a year evaluating suppliers of eBusiness and CAD view/download software, seeking the most advanced and intuitive web-self-service, ease of product selection/configuration and design-engineer-friendly CAD view & download capability. Said Amanda Bulgrin, Grove Gear’s Marketing Coordinator, “We had just one chance to get this right. Our management was fully on-board to make Grove Gear number one in self-service capabilities for engineers and specifiers and as a by-product, leap-frog our competition online.”

After careful and detailed review, the project team decided to recommend the i-MARK/CDS partnership as, in their words, “the head and shoulders winner in deliverables, resources, quality and pricing. When they go live with their interactive, self-service Product Selector in late 2013, Grove Gear will offer new variations of existing products as well as new gear reducer families that will target the renewable energy market, among others. Finally, Grove Gear’s i-MARK Product Selector will be upgraded to 24/7 BUSINESS (TM) Release 5.5, which i-MARK designed to delight users by adding advanced product search and discovery tools within a contemporary new eCatalog format. It will also be tablet and smartphone compatible and will capture the look-and-feel of Grove Gear’s newly released and enhanced website.
