Linx Releases Advancements of its Low Code Platform

CAPE TOWN, OCTOBER 2022

Linx, a low-code application development platform, today announced the latest enhancements to its next low-code development platform, including new functionality and further updates to the low-code development experience.

The release of version Linx 6.4 brings together several new updates to speed up the development process and extend the platform's ability to deliver low-code solutions around systems integration, APIs, web services, and automation.

These include;

"Return Fairly" Pattern for Functions
Using this pattern reduces the nesting in code, which in turn, improves readability and ease of understanding. The Return function allows the user to return early from created functions.

Anton Platzoeder, product owner of Linx explains "The new return function allows for Linx to resemble code much more closely where 'return' is used in almost all programming languages to return a value from a function."

He explains " the advantage of the new 'Return' is that it is more explicit and transparent about what is returned when. Before, the result of a function was set using a SetValue. If this result was set at the start of the function but remained unaffected by the SetValues beneath it, the actual return value could easily be obscured."

Updated Xero Plugin
The plugin offers full access to the Xero API, enabling you to securely integrate with the features of the accounting package. It allows for fast, accurate, bug-free development to integrate and automate your custom back-end system with Xero.

Other significant GUI fixes and enhancehancements
Database version 1.2.0 enables syntax highlighting for MySQL comments
GraphQL version 1.0.1 enables the display of GraphQL server error details
XML version 1.1.0 includes an update to make XML schema property editable
