WiMAX Forum to Host WiGRID 2014 at DistribuTECH
Supporting best practices to leverage WiMAX technology for Smart Grid networksCLACKAMAS, OR – The WiMAX Forum® announced the upcoming annual WiGRID 2014 event, a pre-conference session being held at 1pm on January 27th at DistribuTECH in San Antonio, Texas. The afternoon session will focus specifically on supporting the Smart Grid community in the deployment of effective and cost-effective 4G WiMAX networks.
WiGRID 2014 is a free event, designed to foster the continued advancement of the WiMAX Smart Grid ecosystem. The event is open to all attendees of DistribuTECH, one of the leading conferences in the utility industry, which garners an average of 10,000 attendees each year, as well as vendors, operators, and energy companies. It will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
Speakers have been invited to share utility-focused technology expertise, including case studies to highlight the latest challenges and strategies involved with operating an efficient smart grid network. Following WiGRID 2014, the WiMAX Forum Smart Energy Working Group will meet for continuation of group business (also open to attendees).
