DataVard at DSAG Technology Days 2014: SAP user on the move

Heidelberg (Germany), January 21 , 2014 – At the 14th DSAG Technology Days the software and consulting company DataVard GmbH will present solutions to optimize SAP systems in the fields data management, SAP restructuring and system management. The congress takes place from 18 to 19 February 2014 at the International Congresscenter in Stuttgart. Visitors will find DataVard in hall C2, booth 8 on the accompanying exhibition.

DataVard is again XXL sponsor of the DSAG Technology Days. Under the theme „Level completed, moving to new technology worlds” the German speaking SAP user group (DSAG) looks into the question whether all requirements regarding new SAP technologies have been met and as to whether sufficient experiences have been gathered in order to transfer innovations into reality. The expected 1.800 SAP users will learn during lectures and hands-on-sessions on how they can prepare their corporate IT for the next level.

“New technologies can raise performance and cut costs of existing systems. With our solutions we help SAP users to get the most out of their systems,” says DataVard’s managing director Gregor Stoeckler. What contribution SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Management (SAP ILM) can make; Gregor Stoeckler and Robert Wassermann, Global Director Product Management at SAP, will discuss in detail on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11.15am in their lecture “Storage of archive data in SAP Sybase IQ“.

How companies can optimize their existing systems DataVard will demonstrate at the accompanying exhibition with their analyzing tool DataVard BW Fitness Test. DataVard was nominated by GARTNER in its “Cool Vendors in the SAP Ecosystem, 2013“ report for this tool, which combines in-depth-analysis with a benchmark using data from 150 other SAP-based systems of international companies. Organizations can thus evaluate the impact of planned SAP projects and get actionable recommendations on how to increase system performance and stability of their SAP landscape.

Another highlight will be the DataVard OutBoard™, a Nearline Storage Solution for SAP BW and SAP HANA that does not require external storage. The SAP certified solution separates data by operational relevance and saves it automatically in several data repositories, where its size is compressed up to 95 percent. Data that is relevant for daily business stays within the online database and remains accessible for reporting and analysis. With DataVard OutBoard™ companies can reduce the size of their data base by 40 to 50 percent, raise performance of their SAP systems and at the same time cut operational costs.

In addition, DataVard will present with OutBoard™ ERNA a housekeeping tool that automatically deletes unnecessary and temporary data thus contributing to a continuous optimization of size and performance of SAP systems. OutBoard™ ERNA can be monitored via a central cockpit and allows a continuous maintenance of the entire SAP landscape. An extensive, error-prone manual data cleansing is obsolete and operational costs can therefore be reduced.
