Tentec Fulfils Major Bolt Tensioning Order for Wind Turbines in China

Working together with its distributor in China, HTS, Tentec has sealed a major order for its bolt tensioning equipment from a leading international wind turbine manufacturer. The order involves the supply of 50 specially designed WTB blade bolt tensioners for the new G114 wind turbines.

Tentec’s standard Aero WTB series is a purpose designed range of hydraulic bolt tensioning tools to suit most wind turbine bolting applications. All WTB tensioning tools have the capacity to achieve the specified proof load requirements as detailed in EN ISO 898-1:1999 and ASTM A490M for grade 10.9 Bolts. These feature packed tensioners have been designed with rapid tensioning in mind and offer a safe, reliable and consistent method to simultaneously tension many bolts.

The tools that have been delivered to China have been modified in line with the customers’ specifications. All work was carried out by Tentec’s in-house engineering team so enabling the customisation costs to be kept to a minimum.

Thanks to the excellent local support from HTS in China, all orders for this customer will now be handled directly in China.
