Joseph Valentic, a veteran of the financial services markets, has launched Excelsis Capital, a boutique capital placement firm, focused on helping founder-led and privately held businesses to get the capital they need to achieve their vision, whether debt, equity, or both. The firm helps business owners determine the right capital structure to achieve their vision, valuation objectives, and strategic plans.

Because Excelsis arranges both debt and equity capital, this creates significant efficiency for its clients, as well as the opportunity to ensure the capital structure truly aligns with the owner's and the company's objectives. Arranging the entire capital stack also means Excelsis can help clients with their capital needs throughout most of their life cycle.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Joe has a passion for helping people and businesses to achieve their true growth potential. He combines this passion with over 30 years of diverse advisory, leadership, strategy, and execution experience in the areas of: investment banking, public accounting (Deloitte), corporate banking, financial technology leadership (payment processing & SAAS), mergers and acquisitions services, strategy advisory, credit union board leadership, and non-profit leadership. He is also an founder who has started and run multiple businesses, so he truly understands the mind, heart, and passion founders and owners have for their businesses.

Joe is a registered investment banker who has passed the following exams: 66 State Law, Series 7, Series 79TO, Series 24 and the SIE. He is registered with IGM Brokerage LLC, a Broker-Dealer registered with FINRA, SEC and SIPC

He is also passionate about learning and has a Bachelor's in Accounting, from Wayne State University in Detroit, a Masters in Financial Economics from the University of Detroit Mercy, and additional studies through Harvard University including courses in Business Strategy, Fintech, and Advanced Strategic Planning.

Joe has an extensive history of community service. His experience includes more than 11 years on the Board of Alliance Catholic Credit Union, a volunteer position, where he is currently serving as Chairman of the Board. Outside of Alliance, he has been involved with starting or serving on the board, or in volunteer roles, for multiple non-profits.
