This new development from Scheinhardt is a lifelike model ear - the first of its kind in the world, so much so that we have applied for a patent!
We have developed the ear to enable you to carry out demonstrations, fitting exercises and training.
But that is not all - DAS Ohr can do much more...

What can I use DAS Ohr for?
For the production of earmoulds, a clean and accurate ear mould is a crucial prerequisite. In the past, it was necessary to use acrylic models with a hard surface or human volunteers. This meant that either the impression was not taken under realistic conditions or a person had to be made available as a "test subject".
This innovation makes all the difference. DAS Ohr allows ear impressions to be taken with all common impression materials under realistic conditions. Unlike many other models, the surface is not hard, but mimics the skin surface, and the auditory canal is anatomically correct up to the level of the eardrum. It also forgives errors in moulding that would cause pain or injury in human subjects. All employees can use this model ear to practise ear impressions over and over again. This gives confidence and saves time and money.
For the fitting of a good hearing aid you need well trained personnel. With this model ear, you can easily practise the necessary steps for a fitting, such as an IN-SITU measurement or determining the OEG (Open Ear Gain), under realistic conditions.

We also offer otoplasties to go with the model ear. This means that your students and staff can practise the grinding and machining of otoplastics at any time.

DAS Ohr is also a useful aid for demonstrating the fitting of hearing aids to customers or employees.
