Black Clown screening at Dallas-area Film Fest

Black Clown screening at Dallas-area Film Fest

Horror movie tackling key social issues to screen at one of Texas's most prominent independent film festivals in January 2024.
Black Clown 2 will screen at the Denton Black Film Festival on Saturday January 27th at 7:30PM at the Alamo Drafthouse in Denton, Texas.

Don't Scream
Using thriller, horror, and mystery themes the movie explores the terrible consequences that follow acts of infidelity and bullying in two parts. In Part 1 of the film titled "Don't Scream" a hooded man sporting a creepy clown mask seeks bloody revenge against two young women who he believes publicly shamed and embarrassed him. The clown plays cat-n-mouse with the women, only taking off his mask to reveal his identity right before he stabs his victims to death.

Shocked Jock
In Part 2 called "Shocked Jock", a serial killer with over 14 victims, calls into a midnight radio show to speak with two raunchy hosts who won't stop making fun of the creepy dolls and mannequins the killer keeps in his basement. But as the night goes on, it is slowly revealed that in addition to the creepy dolls, this masked serial killer is keeping something else...or should I say someone else...in his basement. But who?

Fear of Clowns
The film was written and directed by Ryan Taylor who created the project as an ode to his childhood fear of clowns.
"As a kid, all the way up through like 10, or 11, I was terrified of clowns. At birthday parties, McDonald's, the circus, or wherever, if there was a clown there I wouldn't go near it. My mom and dad still tease me about it, until this day. It was the mask, the paint, the fake smile. They always held something sinister right beneath the surface."
