ibentos, with its pioneering Metaverse platform called MegaSpace.ai, has successfully collaborated with BITS Pilani's Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) division to host one of the most personalized and revolutionary convocation ceremonies.

This ground-breaking event witnessed the fusion of tradition and technology, in-person and virtual, with a dynamic and immersive 360 virtual BITS Pilani campus experience, complete with an auditorium for the graduation ceremony. Significantly, the metaverse platform demonstrated its capabilities by effectively accommodating a substantial number of participants (6600 students), which is an immense challenge encountered by metaverse platforms worldwide. It was a first-of-its-kind metaverse event and also the biggest ever seen in terms of magnitude, grandeur, and innovation, proving that a technology like metaverse can not only do wonders in gaming but has the potential to solve real-world problems.

Students from around the globe entered the platform with their own Humanoid 3D avatars, created from their selfies, fully dressed in academic regalia. These avatars allowed students to explore the campus with their batchmates and walk down the virtual stage when their names were called out, receiving digital certificates with the same weight and authenticity as physical diplomas. Complete with humanized gestures like applauding and bowing, these innovative avatars were crucial to creating a lifelike experience for all attendees.

The convocation metaverse platform was heavily AI-driven, from testing to making announcements, arranging voiceovers, matchmaking students with their respective names and certificates, and even avatar creation. Students took more than 12000 selfies with their batchmates and extensively used the social plugins to express their sense of achievement with their community by sharing their selfies on LinkedIn and Facebook directly from the platform, instantly making the metaverse convocation ceremony a hit. This unique convocation ceremony highlights the importance of adaptability and innovation in education.

As a technology institute, BITS Pilani WILP sought a state-of-the-art metaverse experience for their convocation, integrating innovation without compromising tradition.
