Highlight of JCI ASPAC Conference 2016

JCI ASPAC Conference is an annual event for JCI members from Asia. Even though it is an Asia event it is attended by the members from the other part of the World. This year ASPAC was attended by over 5000 delegates from all over the world spreading to 41 countries. The delegates from India were led by the National President Ms. RajshreeBaje. There were about 50 delegates from India. JCI India is bidding to host JCI World Congress in the year 2018. The election for the site for JCI World Congress will be held in Quebec, Canada in the month of November 2016. Goa Tourism Promotion board is fully supporting the bid of Goa. Ms. Karuna is the bid Director. Mr. Ashraf Ali Nizari Managing Director of Nizmar Resorts in the Adviser to the host committee. Mr K Vallabhdas Past National President of JCI India is the Chief Adviser & Patron for the event.
On 3rd June 2016, ASPAC Senate Board meeting was held in Sky 84 hotel, Kaohsiung, Taiwan during the above said conference. In the above said conference S Ravi Shankar (International Arbitration lawyer & Senior Partner Law Senate Law firm having its offices in New Delhi & Mumbai) was elected as one of the Directors of the Board for the year 2016-17. Mr S Ravi Shankar being the Adviser for the Countries in Indian Sub-continent which includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives & Nepal he had meetings with the delegations from the said countries. It is also important to note that he served as International Vice President in the year 2000 and World Treasurer in 2002. He also served as the Conference organising Committee Chairman for the 2008 JCI World Congress held in New Delhi. He confirmed that there is a consensus between the 120 countries to have the World Congress in Goa and hence chances of hosting a JCI World Congress in Goa, India is brighter.
