Linerless from all sides on cardboard

Linerless from all sides on cardboard

Europe's largest manufacturer of label printing systems presents HERMES QL. It is printing shipping labels with linerless material. HERMES QL automatically applies the labels after printing. Businesses benefit, so does environment.

Direct thermal printing

HERMES QL has been designed for use in intralogistics, anywhere industrial companies label shipping boxes with data. The print method is direct thermal. The print rollers have an anti-stick rubber coating to prevent from deposits on the print head. Equipped with a stroke applicator, HERMES QL can label a maximum of 25 cardboard boxes per minute, 80 are possible with an air jet applicator.

Sustainable materials

Continuous materials do not require a liner. So rolls have double label capacity compared to standard ones. Downtimes when loading new material are reduced. Efficiency and availability increase. Waste is eliminated. Such rolls demand less stock area than self-adhesive labels and are easier to transport. CO₂ emissions decrease by up to 35 percent.

Clean cutting

Contact with the adhesive of linerless materials can cause sticking on conventional cutters. The blade and the cutter bar of HERMES QL cutters therefore have anti-stick coating. Labels can be separated even at different heights after printing. The cutter can be quickly and easily removed and reinstalled without tools in cases of cleaning, changing the print roller or maintaining the print head.

Modular and flexible

HERMES QL has been designed for printing labels and applying them automatically in production lines. Various applicators roll, blow or press linerless labels onto shipping boxes. Whether labeling corner-wrap, onto flat or cylindric surfaces, products in motion or at rest - HERMES QL provides solutions.
Features, dimensions and installation of HERMES QL correspond to the proven HERMES Q print and apply system. Original applicators and tools for assembly can be used, making HERMES standard printers easy to replace by linerless printers (and vice versa). In terms of integrability into networks or automation solutions, HERMES QL provides all necessary interfaces, including Industry 4.0 protocols.
