In response to growing demand for eco-friendly practices, various companies are launching sustainable HDPE bottles. For example, in 2020, Berry Global Group, Inc. and Bhoomi introduced a 100% sugarcane-based HDPE bottle for its cold-pressed cane water elixir. This 12-ounce HDPE bottle will replace Bhoomi's standard PET bottle, reducing water consumption by 22.0%, fossil fuel consumption by 62.6%, and greenhouse gas emissions by 89.5% (equivalent to 12 tons of CO2 annually).
