Safeguard Self Storage Expands Again in Chicago
Safeguard Self Storage has opened another new facility in the Chicago market on North Clybourn Avenue in the Lakeview area of Chicago. This is the company’s 13th store in Chicago and its 68th store in the nation.Safeguard Self-Storage - Lakeview
Safeguard Self Storage is increasing its strong presence in the Chicago market. The Lakeview store has 880 units in 68,125 Rentable Square Feet of storage space. Located about four miles north of downtown, it is well located for the 270,000 people who live in the two-mile trade area.
Similar to Safeguard's 67 other stores nationwide, this store is designed with a focus on convenience and customer service. Amenities at this location include heated and air-conditioned spaces, convenient drive-up loading areas, computer-controlled access to the building, individual unit alarm systems and digital/video recording of the property.
"Safeguard is excited about continuing its expansion in Chicago and feels this store will be a great addition to its already large portfolio there. The company has two additional properties in Chicago, three more in New York, and five in Florida that are in various stages of development” said Jim Goonan, Senior Vice President of Development for Safeguard Self Storage.
“We have been in the Chicago market since opening our first self-storage facility there 16 years ago in 2000 on South Wabash Avenue. These 13 stores, and the two other additional stores in development, give Safeguard strong brand presence in Chicago and help us serve our customers there well,” said Ken Finlay, Senior Vice President of Operations.
Lakeview Location:
Safeguard opened the Lakeview self-storage facility on September 1st, 2016 and is managed by Starlyne Wright, Facility Manager, and Achille Jeanty, Assistant Manager.
