New York - September 24, 2024 - The Fashion in a Conscious Future Foundation (FICFF) is proud to announce that Max Alexander, an 8-year-old fashion prodigy, has officially become the Ambassador of the Stitching Dreams Aesthetic Education Program.
Max was introduced during FICFF's special forum held at the SDG Media Zone during the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, focusing on the theme "Stitching Hope: Empowering Futures through Fashion, Sustainability, and Leadership." The forum featured a diverse panel of experts, including Abigail Posner - Director of US Creative Works at Google, Lucie Brigham - Chief of Office at the United Nations Office for Partnerships and Co-Founder of the United Nations Fashion and Lifestyle Network, Yitong Qin - Founder and CEO of UNIPX Group and Founder & Co-Chair FICFF, Maribel Lieberman - Founder and CEO of MARIEBELLE, and Andy Yu, Fashion Artist & Designer and Co-Chair of FICFF, who discussed how fashion can be a force for change-empowering underprivileged children, preserving cultural heritage, and fostering leadership in sustainability.
Max has been widely recognized for his creativity and commitment to sustainable fashion, making him the role model to inspire the next generation. During the forum, he shared his personal journey in fashion, especially his practice to incorporate sustainability in his works, and encouraged young designers to integrate sustainability into their work. He also presented four stunning designs using eco-friendly materials, demonstrating the possibilities of sustainable fashion to a captivated audience.
FICFF's Stitching Dreams program aims to empower children by providing educational resources and sustainable clothing, blending traditional culture and modern design. This program recently brought sustainable clothing to children in the remote areas of Southwest China, showcasing how fashion can be a vehicle for both cultural preservation and environmental awareness.
As FICFF's newest ambassador, Max will play a key role in spreading awareness of the Stitching Dreams program, advocating for sustainability, and inspiring children to pursue their dreams through fashion and creativity.
FICFF co-founder Yitong Qin said, "Max embodies the spirit of sustainable fashion and creativity. His passion aligns perfectly with our mission to create a more responsible and inclusive future through fashion. We are excited to have him on board as our ambassador."
