Express Entry Changes 2025: Key Updates Announced!

✅ New Education Category Added
IRCC has introduced the Education category.
Includes five occupations such as teachers and early childhood educators.

✅ Transport Category Removed
Transport occupations are no longer eligible under category-based draws.

✅ Healthcare Category Expanded
Social service occupations added to support mental health and community services.
Includes social workers, community service workers, and more.

✅ Changes in STEM Occupations
Several occupations removed, affecting IT and engineering roles.
No new additions under STEM for 2025.

✅ Trades Category Updates
19 new occupations added, such as electricians, machinists, and construction workers.
4 occupations removed, refining eligibility.

✅ Agriculture & Agri-Food Modifications
2 new occupations added, including farm supervisors and horticulture contractors.

✅ Express Entry Priority Adjustments
Priority now focuses on four categories:
French-language proficiency
Healthcare & Social Services
Trades
Education

✅ Updated Express Entry Eligibility
Changes to CRS scores, work experience, and job classifications.
Applicants must ensure profiles meet the new criteria.

Express Entry and PNP Draws held in February 2025:-

In February 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted several Express Entry draws. Here are the details:

February 4, 2025:
A Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw issued 455 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 802.

February 5, 2025:
A Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw issued 4,000 ITAs with a minimum CRS score of 521.

February 17, 2025:
Another PNP-specific draw issued 646 ITAs to candidates with a minimum CRS score of 750.

February 19, 2025:
The first category-based draw of the year targeted French-speaking candidates, issuing 6,500 ITAs to those with a minimum CRS score of 428.

These draws reflect Canada's ongoing efforts to address specific labor market needs and promote linguistic diversity within its immigration system.
