ITECH Expands IT2700 Modular Power System with New 20 V / ±50 A / ±500 W High-Current Module
Since its launch, ITECH's IT2700 Multi-Channel Modular Power System has gained rapid adoption across research laboratories and production lines worldwide. With its flexible configuration of power supply, bidirectional source, regenerative load, and SMU (source measure unit) modules - all within a compact 1U high-density design - the IT2700 has proven itself as a versatile, efficient, and reliable testing solution.Proven Results Across Various Applications
Customer feedback highlights significant improvements in testing efficiency and energy utilization:
Higher throughput: Multi-channel parallel operation and synchronous/sequenced triggering greatly increase test efficiency in production and R&D.
Energy-saving design: Regenerative energy feedback and low-loss wiring reduce electricity and air-conditioning costs during long-term aging and parallel load tests.
Smart software integration: Built-in timing control, waveform capture, and long-duration data logging minimize manual reconnections and shorten debugging cycles.
Thanks to these measurable benefits, the IT2700 system has become a universal testing instrument for the aerospace, avionics, automotive electronics, power semiconductors, industrial automation, robotics, battery and energy-storage sectors - particularly for applications in the 100 W to 1 kW range.
New Release: 20 V / ±50 A / ±500 W High-Current Module
Building on this success, ITECH Electronics now introduces a new addition to the IT2700 family - a 20 V / ±50 A / ±500 W low-voltage, high-current module, available in three configurations: source, bidirectional source, and regenerative load.
The new module can be directly installed into the IT2700 1U chassis (IT2702 / IT2703 / IT2704) alongside existing modules, supporting master-slave parallel connection and scalable configurations up to 2 kW. It is ideally suited for testing batteries, avionics, industrial control systems, and consumer power devices in mid-power applications.
Highlights
a. Copper-bar output terminals: Designed for high current, the copper electrodes reduce contact resistance, minimize temperature rise, and improve efficiency under heavy loads.
b. Protective terminal cover: Provides continuous safety protection during connection and maintenance.
c. Ultra-compact integration: Four 50 A / 500 W modules fit within a single 1U chassis, achieving low loss, simplified wiring, and enhanced safety.
d. Seamless Integration with IT2700 mainframe
e. Mix-and-match flexibility: Works with existing IT2700 modules, including power supply, bidirectional source, regenerative load, and SMU.
f. Comprehensive control software: Supports multi-channel synchronization, sequence control, high-speed waveform sampling, and long-term data recording - all in one unit.
g. Scalable power: Each module delivers 500 W; master-slave parallel operation allows quick configuration of 1 kW or 2 kW test systems.
Specialized Modules for Diverse Needs
SMU module: Offers nanoamp-level measurement accuracy for chip-level power characterization.
Bidirectional source module: Enables seamless charge/discharge transitions for precise battery simulation.
Regenerative load module: Supports energy recovery and monitoring - ideal for long-duration endurance or burn-in testing.
Typical Applications (20 V / ±50 A / ±500 W DUTs)
Battery & Energy Storage: Single-cell or small-module lithium batteries (18650 / 21700 / 4680), e-mobility battery packs, power-tool batteries, supercapacitors, and small fuel-cell stacks (polarization curve / constant-power discharge).
Power Modules & PMICs: Board-level DC-DC converters (1-12 V), low-voltage point-of-load (POL) supplies, and multi-port fast-charging power devices with transient load testing.
