THT - FEL Front Panel System and Standard Panel Components

THT - FEL Front Panel System and Standard Panel Components

… is called THT 1 and pools the great range of products of 19“ standardized front panel elements and a large number of further standardized components for the equipment of printed circuit boards, which have been a part of the company’s program for decades.

Now the new catalog combines the most diverse display and control elements of Through Hole Technology for the front panels of devices and plug-in modules, such as LED components, switches and calipers, connectors as well as sensor switch components in a clear way.

MENTOR’s front panel elements (FEL), which have been designed for the 19-inch structure system are of special significance, here. The standardization of the board size, the size of the plate, the plate’s dimensions as well as the front panels’ dimensions is included here are described by DIN 41494. The front panel elements are based on a basic grid size of 2.54 mm and can be inserted and put in line groups as well as individually in all common plug-in systems with plastic and metal front panels.

Even in times of surface-mount SMT components Through Hole Technology keeps its significance: Especially components that are exposed to heavy stress every day require stable through-hole mounting – in the truest sense of the word surface mount components can snap at their soldered joint when being exposed to excessive stress.

Naturally, the new THT 1 catalog can be ordered free of charge at MENTOR’s web site [www.mentor-components.com] or downloaded quickly and easily as PDF file.
