Carolina Underground Solutions Awarded Veteran Owned Status
President Brad Cunningham, a Marine Corps veteran stated, “It’s an honor to receive this designation after a lengthy certification process and this is going to assist CUS to expand our efforts with both the private and public sectors”. The company, which has doubled in size in 2017, has added decades experienced operations management to the company and is actively pursuing contracts for regional fiber deployments including state and federal government opportunities.
Carolina Underground Solutions’ team is comprised of multiple veterans who are proud to work in a Veteran Owned business and the values it represents. CUS Vice-President, Jonathan Carawan added, “Having the veteran-owned status allows CUS more exposure into the state and federal marketplace and entities needing to utilize a VOSB set-aside can now fully involve CUS to fulfill its requirements. This recognition will open new doors for Carolina Underground”.
During his military career that included the US Marine Corps and a subsequent stint in the SC National Guard, Cunningham earned multiple Commendation and Achievement awards for his service over the course of nine (9) years. Cunningham acquired Carolina Underground Solutions in May 2017.
