ikfe GmbH conducts a further clinical trial with the EDC-CDM-Software MARVIN from XClinical
The institute for clinical research and development in Mainz (ikfe GmbH) offers a wide range of clinical trial services world-wide. The institute commissioned the implementation of a further EDC study with MARVIN in April 2006. The planned study again deals with questions regarding the pathophysiology of metabolic disorders. ikfe GmbH is one of the leading research centers in this area. A large multicenter trial, in which the institute based in Mainz used XClinical’s electronic data capture system for the first time, was completed successfully in October 2005. Due to the consistent usage of the clinical data standard CDISC the study results could be shown only one week after study end.The institute for clinical research and development in Mainz (www.ikfe.de) was founded by Prof. Dr. med. rer. nat. Andreas Pfützner and partners in march 1998. The main focus of the scientific operations is on metabolic disorders. The services of the institute meet the highest quality standards and are tailored to the special needs of the pharmaceutical and clinical customers. The institute is specialized in the planning and support of pharmaceutical product developments and in the organisation and performance of scientific training programs for managers, sales representatives and other customers. The key strength is the high scientific know how in the area of diabetes, endocrinology and cardiovascular disease as well as the knowledge of the related markets.
