cloudControl Recognized in Magic Quadrant for aPaaS

Berlin, 15 January 2014 – cloudControl, a leading PaaS provider, today announced it has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. in the inaugural edition of the Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS)1. The Magic Quadrant is a standardized assessment tool used by Gartner to evaluate leading vendors based on completeness of vision and ability to execute on a global basis.

According to Gartner’s assessment, “Enterprise IT users too are coming to the aPaaS market in increasing numbers.” “These initial engagements with SaaS or IaaS have opened the door to utilizing cloud resources more fully. aPaaS is engaged to customize and extend SaaS (and iPaaS — to integrate it with other applications). It is also engaged by users that have become comfortable with the use of IaaS, and now wish to increase their productivity and to delegate more responsibility to the cloud services providers”.
