cloudControl Expands Platform-as-a-Service Offering with Official Support for Node.js

BERLIN, January 28, 2014 – cloudControl, a European multi-language Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider, has expanded its service offering to include official support for the increasingly popular runtime environment Node.js. With the addition of its 5th officially supported language through Node.js, cloudControl gives developers more flexibility when using the platform while allowing service provider partners to extend the feature to their own customers.

Through the White Label partnership model, telecommunications and hosting providers have the opportunity to integrate the cloudControl platform directly into their offering with their own branding and tap into new markets. cloudControl is the only fully managed PaaS that service providers can integrate into their own offering, under their own brand.

The cloudControl platform supports multiple languages through the Buildpack system, which has become the de-facto industry standard. This allows cloudControl to offer multiple language platforms as a service and to simplify software development for the user, without locking customers into one vendor. With official support for the Node.js Buildpack, customers can now contact the cloudControl expert support team directly with Node.js questions and issues, rather than posting them on community support pages.

Node.js is an increasingly popular runtime environment for JavaScript especially suited to creating real-time web and mobile applications. Other officially supported Buildpacks are Java, PHP, Python and Ruby. The platform also supports many additional languages and technologies through "Third-Party" Buildpacks such as C, Perl, Grails and Scala.
