Berlin, Germany, March 17, 2015 – ILNumerics GmbH, a German provider of software for technical application development, has released a major update to its Visual Studio extension “ILNumerics Ultimate VS”. In addition to the company’s popular computing and visualization engine, “ILNumerics Ultimate VS” now also includes innovative tools for graphical debugging.

ILNumerics Ultimate VS with new Array Visualizer

ILNumerics is particularly well-known among developers for its powerful 3D Visualization Engine. With the Array Visualizer, ILNumerics goes one step further. The new feature allows programmers to understand large and complex debug data intuitively and to watch how they change throughout their algorithms. Rather than printing individual values as textual representation, ILNumerics Array Visualizer creates graphical 2D and 3D plots. For the best possible overview, the visualizations are interactive and can be customized by the user. Different output types, such as Scatter plots, Multiple Lines plots, Surface plots and ImageSC plots are available.

The Array Visualizer is capable of handling arbitrary C# and Visual Basic expressions resulting in 1D or 2D ILNumerics arrays as well as plain .NET arrays. Additional output types will be added continually.
